Janet Fearnehough of Our Lady's Bishop Eton Primary School said: "We are so happy to have the gardening club up and running in the school. The pupils enjoyed the activities at Festival Gardens and it's great that the Green Angels can continue environmental education here at the school.
"After a special Green Angels gardening club assembly, we were inundated with applications for the after school club. Hopefully those pupils who had to miss out will be able to join in next term."
Rowan Joyce, Community Engagement Officer for The Green Angels project added: "A social enterprise was an aspiration of the Green Angels project from the beginning.
"The Land Trust is pleased that the trainees have taken the idea to heart and are so committed to continue the legacy of the project. It is gratifying that training will continue right through to the next generation while providing a platform for setting up a business in the environmental field."
The gardening club is running on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school until the end of term.
